Fridley, MN. 55432 Dear Mr. Hickok This letter is in regards to the Partition Chain Link Fence Dividing 6220 and 6230 6th St. In the month of June 1998 i repeatly said in conversations with Mr. Peters, The chain link fence needs work and weeding. He acknowledge being aware of this problem, yet nothing has been done. on his part. I have spent inexcess of ten hours on the weeds alone this year. I am really concerned with the shape of the fence, posts were pushed back to nail on his new eight foot wooden fence and to cement the posts. There is only four or five inches between the wooden fence-and the chain link. The poor conditions of this chain link fence has me concerned for the saftey of my children. They play in the back yard, and the fencing is pulled out toward our yard, making it dangerous for them. August 17th Mr. Peters recieved a noterized letter complaining about the conditions of this fence. I am now seeking to be assigned the total one hundred feet of the chain link fence line. I have enclosed the portion of the ordinance for the R-1 Zoning District,which is the zone for this property. The highlighted section details our requirements for exterior storage in this zone. The resident has taken the steps to screen his back lot from every right-of-way including 5' Street. Most of what he has stored is firewood and a garden,which do not have to be screened anyway. Since you and your neighbors consider this property to be a nuisance, and the property does meet our City Code, your only recourse would be civil action.
