OLSON Environmental Officer SJO/mh Steve 10/30/78 Jeffrey Schneck 574-7356 6601 ERR The apt. bldg. just south of his house has an on-going trash problem. He says he has lived there two years & it is getting to him. He has picked up misc. trash, beer cans, once he had 4 tires in his yard. When it is windy of course its worse. He has called the owner a few times & requested that something be done, but nothing has so far. Owner of building: Otto Westenfield 574-7525 He thinks the dumpsters are adequate, but the tenants just don't use them or are sloppy. He has suggested a fence to Mr. Westenfield, but to no avail so far. He feels that a fence would very much contain the litter problem. He was courteous, .just tired of picking up other people's junk. Can the City require a fence? July 6, 1981 Otto Westenfield P.O. Box 32021 Fridley, I''IN 55432 Re: Exterior Site Improvements for the Residential Rental Property Located at 6551 East River Road Northeast. Dear Mr. Westenfield: On at least three occasions in the past, the City has brought to your attention the need for some minimal exterior site improvements for the apartment building located at the above address. A reinspection has determined that the following item continues to need corrective action: Provide and maintain striping for the parking lot to indicate individual parking stalls. A parking stall must be a minimum size of 10' x 201. At this time, the City must require that the above listed item be corrected or improved and that you provide us with a proposed plan and time table for completing this work. Please return your response and license application no later than August 10, 1981 to the attention of the Code Enforcement Department. Your positive response to this needed improvement will assist us in evaluating your application to renew the license for the 1981-82 licensing period. We are confident in your cooperation and if any questions or problems arise, please contact me at 571-3450. Sincerely, Steven J. Olson, R.S.
