BUILDING PERPRIT rEE uCHEDULE
Sec�ion 2. The Tns�ector of Building�s shall, before issuing any
�ermit for the erec�ion o� any building or structure, or for any
addition to any exa.stin� building or st-ructure, or for any alterations
or repairs to any �xist�.ny building or s�ructure, upon application
therefor, require the pay�nent by the a�plicant ior such permit of
fees to the amount herein belaw set forth and in the manner herein
provided to-wito
2.1. For any such pe�mit for the erection og any fire-proo:� building,
o�ther than a garage, warehouse, gactory or grain elevator, or �or the
erec�cion or any fire-proo� addition, for similar occupancy, to any
existing buildiny shall be at the rate of $1.40 for each one thousand
cubic feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical contents.
2.2. For any such permit �Eor the erection of any fire-proof garage,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or �or the erection o:c ar�y fire-
proof addition, ior siYnilar occupancy, �to any existing buzlding shall
be at the rate oi $1.25 ior each one thousand cubic feet, classified
as "�ireproof" by �ec�tion 502 0� the Minneapolis Building Code.
HOUSES
2�3. For any such permit for the erection oi any non-fireproof build-
ing other than a garage, warehouse, �ac�tory or grain elevator, or any
non-rirep�coo�E addition, for similar occupancy, to any exis�cing building
Pe�:mit $1.00 for each one thousand cubic feet.
GARAGES
2.�. For any such ��ermit for the erection o� any non-fireproo�
garage, warehouse, �actory or grain elevator, or for the erection ot
any non-fireproof addition, for simi�Zar occu�ancy, to any existin�
builcxing or for each such building or adclition. Ninety Cents for each
one thousand cub ic €eet or fraction �hereof, in the cub ical contents
thereof with a minimum o� $4.00.
For the pur�ose of com�u�ting fees for building permits the cubical con-
tents o� any buil�ing or addition to a uniform height throughout by
multi�lying the ground area covered irom a point six (6) inches belaw
the rloor line o� the basement or cellar to the average height of the
up,per surface or to �he average height of the roof surface of the main
gable oi a pitched roof.
2.5. For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the see
shall be at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dolla�s ($500.00)
or �raction �thereof in the cost o� all �roposed work.
2.6. 3n no case shall the fee charged ior any permit as set fcorth in
Section 2 be less t� $4.00. • •
