COISSIDERATION OF FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE RECODIFYING THE FRIDLEY C CODE BY ADOPTING A NEW CHAPTER 80 ENTITLED "ORDINANCE ENFORC$MENT " ND REPEALING OLD CHAPTER 811 "ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS BUREAU": Mr. Hill, Public Safety Director, stated the Legislature enacted Ch ter 33� which went into effect on August 1 , 1987 . He stated this legi ation is commonly referred to as the Police Practices Bill and under t s new law, the City must now give explicit authorization for non-peac officers to issue citations for building, fire housing code, animal, oise control, zoning and other land use violations. He stated this ordi ce would bring the City in compliance with the State statute. Mr. Hill noted that item 6, under Section 803•02 of th ordinanee, should be ehanged from Building Inspections to Building I ectors and would be corrected at the time of seeond reading of the ordi nce. MOTION by Couneilman Schneider to waive the fir reading and approve the ordinanee upon first reading. Seconded by Co cilman Goodspeed. REVIEW OF SP �8 -01 BY EDWARD WALDOC ' AND CONSIDERATION OF EXTENDING COMPLETION DATE FOR TWO OUTSTANDING IMP EMENTS: Mr. Robertson, Community Developmen �� irector, stated when this special use permit was approved, the Council uested it be reviewed in six months. He stated in the review process,, �it was found only two out of the 14 stipulations remain to be compl, d. He stated this involves the repair and striping of the parking lot a sodding the area between the parking lot and planting beds. Mr. Roberts � stated Mr. Waldoch has provided the City with a bond which expires on Oc ber 1, 1988 and it is, therefore, recommended the deadline dates to co ete these two stipulations be extended until next year, as the landscape d asphalt contractors are booked for the rest of I this season.
