Tlte City H,anager remiaded the Council that thare had aot bean a quorum
present for �he me�tiag with the State Highway Dep�rtment coasidering
tbese different intersections. He said he thought tbe Council may like to ,
veri#y what the State is proceedin� with. Couacilman Harris reviewed the
meeting that had be�n held with Mr. Kurpiva o£ ths Minnesota Highway
Department. He went over the map with the Council explaining the �,nCer-
sections of T.Ho #47 with Mis�issippi Strest, 61st Aveaue, and 57th Avenue. �
. �e explained that on tihe weot side of Uaiversity at 61st Avenue, Mr. Buckely,
representing Sto William Church felt there should be a change because o# the
danger of crossing the sex�vice roado Couraci.Iman Harri�t also expluined tltiat
the S�ate wouid not give the slip•off ramp in front of Moon Pleza unlesa
the street went behind tla�t Shell Station, as it wou2d not be pas�ible to
juatify the expendituPe. Councila�n Wright said Chat the slip-off ramp
had beea acc�pted by the SCate, and the Council should aiake sure the Moon
Corporation knaws that it will be a one-way aortbbouad. Councilman H:�rris
aiad tbat the map s6awe a 26 fnot road, but it sbould be 30 feet, which the
State agrees With. Tbe Councfl diacusaed paying tl�e difference between 30
feet and 38 feet £or the width on 64tb Avecwe and on Sth Street. Theq
decided the street should be constructed at leaat 38 fest wide and preferably
40 feet wide aad the City will pick up the difference over 30 feet.
