402.05.PERMIT FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of any water or sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and any hous.e
or building for which the application is made,the owner or contractor shaA be required to obtain a permit for such
caanection,and shall pay a permit fee as prQvided in Chapter 11 of this Cade. After such cannection has been
made,the Watec and Sewer Department shall be notified. It shall be unlawful to cover any connecti�g li�e until an
inspection has been made and such connectian and the wark incident thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitabfe connectlon.
402.06.REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECTION
Aiter tfie initial connection fias been made to the water service curb stap bax or the sQwer lead at the property
fine or a water service or sewer lead has been extended to the proqerty tine for connection,the appticant,owner,
or the occupant or user of such premises shail be liable for all�epairs required to any water line and sewer iines
necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. if the prop�tty owner requests
maintenance service or repatrs he perfarmed by the�ty,the property owner shall be char�ed for the costs af the
maintenanee and/or repairs, including any necessary street repairs,at a tate set annually by.an administrative
poiicy. it shalt be the responsibifrty of the applicant,owner,occupant or user to pe�farm standard maintenance of
• the sewer service line frorn the premises ta the main inciuding deb�is clearing or root cutting and to maintain the
water senrice curb stop box for operability and at such height as will ensure that it remains above the flnished
