402.05.PERMIT FEE �
Prior to constructing or repair of any water ar sewer line conne�ting the existing municipal system afld any hvuse
or building far which the application is made,the owner or contractor shall be required ta obtafn a permit for such
connection,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in Chapter 11 of this Code. After such conne�tlon has been
made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be notified. It shail be unlawful to cover any connecting line until an
inspection has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved by the City as a
praper and suitable connection.
402.06.RERA{RS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECTION
After the initial cannection has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property
line or a water service or sewer lead has been extended to the property lina for connection,the applicant,owner,
or the occupant or user of such premises shali be liable for ali repairs required ta arry water line and sewer lines
necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. If the prop�[ty owner r�uests
maintenance service or repalrs be perFormed by the GtY,the property awner shall be ctrarged for the costs of the
maintenance and/or repairs, induding any necessary street repairs,at a rate set annuaily 6y an adminish�ative
policy. it shall be the responsi6ility of the appiicant,owner,occupant or user to perform standard maintenance of
• the sewer service line from the premises ta the main including de6ris clearing or root cutting and to maintain the
