402.Q5.PERMIT FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of any water or sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and any house
or building f�r which the appncaCian is made,the ows►er or contractor shal{be required tu obtain a permrt for such
connection,and shall pay a pertnit fee as provided in Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connectian has been
made,the Water and Sewer Department shaN tse notified. It sfiall be unlawPui to cover any mn�ecting line until an
inspection has been made and such con�ection and the work inddent thereto has been approved by the�ty as a
proper and suitable connection.
402.06.REPIURS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECI'ION
After the initial connection has been made to tt�e water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property
line or a water service or sewer(ead has been extended to Che pr�perty tine for connectlon,the applicant,owner,
or the occupant or user of such premtses shall be liabfe for all�epairs required to any water(fne and s�wer lines
necessary far cannectian of the premises fram the main to the premises. if the prop��ty owner requests
maintenance service or repairs be performed by the City,the property owaer shall be c�afged for the custs of the
maintena+nce and/or repairs, including any necessary street repairs,at a rate set annually by an administrative
palicy. it shatl be the responsibility of the applicant,awner,oc�cupant or user to perform standard maintenance of
' the sewer service line from the premises ta the main 9ncluding deb�is clearir�or root wtting and to mafntaln the
water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as wiN ensure that it remains above the finished
