CHAPTER 402.WATER,STORM WATER,AND SANITARY SEWER

402.05.PERMIT FEE �
Prior to constructing or repair of any water or sewer li�e connecting the existing municipal system and any house
or building for which the application is made,the owner or contractor shaA be required ta obtain a permit for such
co�nection,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been
made,the Water and Sewer Department shal!be notified. It shall be unlawfu{to cover arry cannecting line until an
inspection has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved by the Cty as a
prope�and suitable connection.
4U2.06.REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECTION
After the initial connection has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the praperiy
line or a water service or sewer lead has been extended to the property 11ne for co�nectton,the applicant,owner,
or the occupant or user of such premises shall be liable for all repain required to any water line and sewer lines
necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. if the prap�cty owner requests
mafitenance service or repai�be perFor�►ed by the�ty,the property owner shal{be�arged for the costs of the
maintenance and/ar repairs, induding any necessary street repairs,at a raCe set annually by an administrative
poliry. It shall be the responsibifity of the applicant,owner,occupant or user to perfarm sCandard maintenance of
` the sewer service fine from the premises to the main Including debris clearing or root cutting and to malntain the
water service curb scop box for operebil'njr and at such height as wfll ensure that it remains above the flnished
