402.05.PERMIT FEE �
Prior to constructing or repair of any water or sewer line connecting the existing municipai system and any house
or building for which the applicatian is made,the owner or contracto�shall be required to abtain a permit for such
connection,and shall pay a permit fee as pruvided in Chapter 11 of this Code. After such cannection has been
made,the 1Nater and Sewer Department shalt be notified. It shall be unlawFul to cover any connecting Ifne until an
inspection has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitable cannection.
402.06.REPAlRS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECTION
After the initlal connection has-been made ta the water senrice curh stop box or the sewer lead at the property
line or a water service or sewer lead has been exte�ded to the property line for connectton,the appiicant,owner,
or the occupant or user of such premises shall be liabfe for all repalrs required to any water line and sewer lines
necessary far connection of the premises from the main ta the premises. if the prop�[ty owner requests
maintenance service or repairs be performed by the Ciry,the property awner shall be charged for the costs of the
maintenance and/ar�epairs� including any necessary street repai�s,at a rate set annualiy 6y an administrative
palicy. It shal!be the responsi6ility of the applicant,owner,occupant or user to perform standard maintenance of
• the sewer service line from the premises to the main including debr�s clearing or root cutting and to maintain the
