402.5 PERMIT FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of any water of sewer ltne connecting the existing municipal system and any h�ase or building for which ffie
application is made,the owner or cor�tractor shall be required to obtain a permit for such connection,and shatl pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be notNied. It shali be un(aMrfui io tover
any connecting line until an inspection has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved by the Crty as a
proper and suitable conqection.
402.06 REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECTION
After the initia!connection has been made to the water service cur6 stap box or the sewer lead at the property line or a water service fead has
been extended to the property line for connection,the applicant,owner,�r occupant os use�of such premises shalf be tiaisle for all repairs
required to any water line and sewer lines necessary for conneetion of the premises from the main to the premises. tF the property owner
requests maintenance service or repairs be perEorsned by the City,the property owner shalt be charged for the costs of the maintenance and/a�
repairs,inciuding necessary' street repairs at a rate set annuaily by an administrative policy. it shall be the responsibiltty of the applicant,
owner,occupant or user to�erForm standard mairrtenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main including debris tlearing or
root cutting and to mairrtain the water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as will ensure ihat it remains above the finished
grade of the land or praperty. (Ref 638,1156,1191)
