402.5 PERMiT FEE
� Prior to constructin�or repair of acry water of sewer tine connecting the existing municipa(system and arry house or bui(ding for whid�t�e
application is made,the owner or coritractor shall be required to obtain a permit for such eonnection,and sha{i pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connedion has been made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be notified. Pt shall be unlawful to cove�
any connecting line until an inspection has been made and such connection and the wortc incident thereto has been approved by tfie City as a
proper and suitable connedion.
402.06 REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO C04VINEC770N
After the initiai connection has been made to the water senrice cur6 stop box or the sewer(ead at tf�e properiy line or a water service lead has
been extended to the property line for connection,the appiica�t,owner,or occuparit or user of such premises shall be liaWe for ali repairs
required to any water line and sewer lines necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premfses. If the property ow�er
requests mairrtenance service or repairs be performed by the City,the property oarner shall be charged for the costs of the mairitenance and/or
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annually bp an administrative policy. tt shall be tfre responsibifity of the appiica+�t,
owrner,occupant or user to perform standard maintenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main induding debris clearing or
root cutting and to mairrtain the water service curb stop hox for operability and at such height as wiil ensure that it remains above the finished
