402.5 PERf1A1T FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of any water of sewer tine connecting the existing municipal system and any house or building for which the
application is made,the owner or corrtracto�sha(I be required to obtain a permit for such connection,and shali pay a perm�t fee as provided in•
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connectian has 6een made,the Water and Sewer Departmer�t shall be notified. it shail be un(awfut to cover
any connecting line until an inspection has been�nade and such connection and the work inciderrt thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitable connection.
402.05 REPAIRS Af11D MAtPITENAMCE TO CONNECTION
After the initial connectio�has been made to the water senrice curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property line or a water service iead fias
been extended to the property line for connection,the appiicar�t,owner,or accupa�t or user o#such premtses shall be liable for ail repairs
required to any water line and sewer lirtes netessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. tf the properly owner
requests mairrtenance service or repairs be performed by the City,the proper#y owner shali be charged for#he costs af the mairrtenence and/or
repairs,including�ecessary street repairs at a rate set annually by an administrafiive poliry. Ft shatl be the responsbil'rty of the applicarrt,
owner,occupant or user to perform standard mairrtenance of the sewer service line from the premises to fihe main including debris clear�ng or
root cutting and to mairrtain the water service curb stop box for operabil'rty and at such height as will ensure#hat it remains above the finished
