� Prior#o constructing ar repair of aay water of sewer iine connecting the existing municipa!system and arry house or building for which Che
applicatian is made,the owner or contractor shall be required to obtain a permit for such connection,and shail pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 of Yhis Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer oepartmerrt shat[be notified. (t shall be unlawful to cover
any connecting line until an inspection has been made and such connectivn and the wark incident thereto has been approvect by tite�ty as a
proper and su�tab(e connection.
402.06 REPA(RS AND MAINTENAIYCE TO COPlNEC170N
After the initial connection has been made to the water service curb stop hox or the sewer tead at the property line or a water service tead has
been extended to fihe property line for connection,the applicant,owner,Qr occupant ar user of such premises shall l�e{iable for ail repairs
required to any water fine and sewer lines necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. If the property owner
requests mairnenance service or repairs be performed by the C'rty,the property owner shall be charged for the costs of the maintenance and/or
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annuaity by an administrative policy. It shafl be the responsibility of the appiicant,
owner,occupant or user to perform standard mairrtenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main including de6ris clearirtg or
root cutting and to maintain the water seroice curb sCop box for operahil'ity and at such height as will ensure tfiat it remains above the�inished
