Prior to constructing ar repair of any water of sewer 9ine conneding the eicisting muniapal sysitem and arry house or buiidir�for which the
appiication is made,the owner or comractor shalt be�equired to obtain a permit for sucfi connection,and shali pay a permit fee as provided ii
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection i�as been made,the Water and Sewer Departmerrt shali be notified. tt shall be untawfui to cov
any con�ecting tine urrtii an inspection has 6een made and such connection and the wortc inaderrt thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitable connecl•ion.
402.06 REPAlRS AND�RA{�ITENAldCE TO COAINEC770N
Atter the initial connecfiion has b�en made to the water senrice curb stop box or the seaver lead at the property iine or a water s�vice Iead(�as
been exfiended#o the property line for connection,the applicarrt,owner,or accuparrt or user of such premtses shalt be liable for all repairs
required to any water line and sewer lirtes necessary for connection of the premises from#he main to the premises. if the property owner
reques#s main#enance service or repairs be performed by the C'ity,the property owner shall be charged for#he costs of the mairrtenance and/o
repairs,inciud➢rag necessary street repairs at a rate set annuaily by an administrative po19ry. It shatl be ti�e responsibitity of the applicarrt,
owner,occupant vr user to perform standard mairrtenance af the sewer service l�ne from the premises to fihe main including debr;s dearing or
root cuiting and to mairitain tt�e water service curb sfiop box#o�operability and at such height as wiil ensure that it rernains above the finished
grade of the land or property, (Ref 638,1156,1191)
