Prior to cnnstructing or cepair of any water of sewer fine connecting the existing muniapa(system and acry house or buildingfvs which the
appltcaticfn is made,the owner or cor�tractor shall be required to obtain a permit for suc�connection,and shaii pay a permit fee as provided irt
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Departmer�t shall be notified. it shail 6e un(awful to cover
any connectin�tine untii an inspection has been anade and such conneckion and the work inaderrt thereto has been approved by the Crty as a
proper and suitabte connection.
402.06 REP�4IRS AWD MAIWTENANCE T�CORINECTION
After the ir�itial coanection has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property iine or a water service lead fias
been extended to the property l�ne for connedion,the appticant,owner,or accupan#or user af such premises shall be Itable for all repairs
required to any water I;ne and sewer lines necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. if the property owner
requests mairnenance service or r,epairs be performed by Che City,the praperty owner shall be charged for the costs of the mairrter�ance and/or
repairs,including aecessary street repairs at a rate set annually by an administrative policy. tt sha41 be the responsibility vf the applicarrt,
owner,occupant or user to perform standard mairrtenance af tltie sewer service line from the premises to the main including debris dearing or
root cutting and to ma�ntain the water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as will ensure that it remaim above the finished
