Prior to constructing or repair of any water of sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and eny house ar buildirig for which the
applica#io�is made,the owner or comractur shail be required to obtain a permit for such connection,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 aF this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Departmerrt shall be n�ed. it shall be unlawful to cover
any connecting line urrtil an inspection has been made and such connection aad the work inc+dent thereto fias�en approved by the City as a
proper and suitabie connection.
40Z.06 REPAIRS AIYD MAINTENANCE TO COP/PIECTIOAI
After the initial connectiort has been made to the water senrice curb stop box or the sewer{ead at the property line or a water servlce lead has
been extended to the property line for connedion,Che applicarrt,owner,or occupant ar user af such premises sE�alt be liable fior al!repairs
required to any water line and sewer lines necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. ff the property ow�er
requests mairstenance service or repairs be perforrned by the C'rty,the property owner shatl be charged for the costs of the maintenance and/ar
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annua{ly by an admirtistrative poliry. It shall be the responsibiPrty of the applicar�t,
owner,occupant or user to perform standard mairrtenance of the sewer service dine from the premises to the main inciudin�debris dea�ng or
root cutting and to maintain the water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as arili ensure that it remains above the finished
