402.5 PERMiT FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of arry water of sewer line connecting the existing municipai system and arty house or building for which the
applicafion is made,the owner or contractor shall be required to obtain a permit for such wnnection,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 af this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Departmerrt shall be notified. It shall be unlawful to cover
any connecting line urrti!an inspection has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved by the Ctty as a
groper and suitable connectiort.
4Q2.06 REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONPIECTIOAI
After the initiat connection has been made to the water service curb stop boec or the sewer iead at the property line or a water seroice lead has
been extended to the property line for connectio�,the applica�rt,owner,or occupaM or user of such premises shall be liable for aii repairs
required to any water line and sewer lines necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. tF the property oarner
requests mairrtenance service or repairs be performed by the�ty,the property owner shall be charged for the costs of the maiMenance and/ar
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annually by an adminishative poliry. !t shall be the responsibility of the applicant,
owner,occupant or user to perform standard mairitenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main induding debris dearing or
root cutting and to maintain the water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as wiN ensure that it remains above the finished
