402.5 PERAAtT FEE
Pcior to constructing or repair of any water of sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and any house or twilding for which the
appl�cation is made,tfie owner or contractor shall be required to abtain a permit for such connection,and shatl pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Departmerrt shall be notified. ft shall be untawful to cover
any connecting line usrtil an inspection has been made and wch connection and the work inciderrt thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitable connection.
402.06 ltEPA1RS APtD MAiIYTENANCE TO COA/NECT{ON
After the initia!connectiort has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property line ar a water seroice lead has
been extended to the property line for sonnection,the app{icarrt,owner,or occupant or user of such premises shall be ltable for all repairs
required to any water line and sewer lines necessary#or connection of tfie premises fmm the main to the premises. If the property�vner
requests maintenance service or repairs be performed 6y the City,the property owner shall be charged for the costs of the mairrtenance and/or
repairs,including netessary street repairs at a rate set annually by an administrative poliry. it shall be the responsibility of#he appiicarrt,
owner,occuparit or user to perform standard mairrtenance of Che sewer service line from the premises to the main including debris dearing or
root cutting and to mairrtain#he water service curb stop box for operabiliCy and at such height as wiff ensure that it remains above the finished
