P�ior to constructing or repair of any water of sewer line connecting the exisfing municipat s�{stem and assy house ar buifding for which the
application is made,the owner or contractor shal[be required to obtain a pescnit for such connectian,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such con�ection has 6een made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be rtotified. ft shall be unfawfui to tover
any co�necting line untit an inspection has been made and such connedion and the wor�c incident thereto has been approaed by the Crty as a

402.06 REPAIRS AIYD MAINTENANCE TO COPIP1ECt'IOAt
After the initiat connection has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer tead at the property l4ne or a water senrice tea�d has
been extended to the property line for sonnection,the applicant,owner,or occupant or user of sucfi premises shall be liable for all repaii's
required to any water tine and sewer lines necessary 1Far connection of the premises from the main to the premises. If the gmperty owner
requests maintenance service or repairs be performed by the�ty,i:he property owner shal!be charged for the costs of#�e mairrtenance and/or
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annuatly by an administratiue poltcy. It shall be the responsibitiiy of the appiicant,
ownerry occupant or user to perform standard mairrtenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main including debris dearing o�
root cutting and to maintain the water service curb stop box for operabiHty and at such height as will enwre that it remains above the finished
