402.5 PERM[T FEE
� Prior to�onstructing o�repair of any water of sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and any house ar buiiding for which the
appiication is made,the owner or contractar shafl be required to obtain a permit for such connection,and sha{i pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 of tfiis Code. After such connectroa has been made,the Water and Sewer Oepartment shall be notified. It shall be uniawfui to cover
any connecting line unti{an inspection has been made and such cannection and the work incident thereto has heen approved by the City as a
proper and suita6ie connection.
402.�6 REPAIRS AiYD MAINT�iYANCE T�CONNE(:TfON
After ttee initiai connection�as been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer(ead at the property line or a water service lead has
been extended to the pr4perty line for connection,the applicant,owner,or occupant or user of such premises shall he iiable for a{I repairs
required to any tivater line and seuver{ines necessary for connectiort of the premises fram tfie main to the premises. If the property o�mer
requests mairrtenance service ar repairs be perfarmed by the City,the property owner shalt be charged for the costs af the mairrtenance andjor
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annually by an administrative poliry. It shall be the responsibi{ity of the app{icant,
owner,occupant or user Yo per#orm standard maintenance of the sewrer service line from the premises to the main inctuding slebris clearing or
root�cutting and�o maintain the water service curb stop box fo�operability and at such height as wiN ensure that it remains above the�nished
