Prior to constructing or repair of any water of sewer iine connecting the existing municipaf system and any house oc building for wfiich the
application is made,the owner or contractor shatl he required to obtain a permit tor such connection,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connec[+on has been made,the Water and Sewer Departmerrt shail be notified, It shall be unlawful to cover
any connecting line until an inspection has been�nade and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved hy the City as a
proper and suitabie connectior�.
402.06 REPAIRS AND P/IAlNTE{VANCE TO CONAi£CTION
A�ter the initial connection has been made to the water secvice curb stop box or the sewer lead at fihe property iine or a water service lead#►as
been extended to fihe property fine for connection,the applicant,owner,or accupant or user of such premises sha(1 be liabie for eil repairs
required to any water fine and sewer Isnes necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. tf the property owner
requests masntenance service or repairs be perFormed by the City,the property owner shail be charged for the costs of the maiatenar►ce and/or
repairs,inciuding r�ecessary street�epairs at a rate set annually by an administrative poliry. {t shall be the responsibility of the applicant,
owner,occupant or user to pe�form standard maintenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main i�cluding debris clearing or
root cutting and to maintain the water service curh stnp box for operability and at such height as will ensure that it remains ahove the finisfied
