402.5 PEFtMtT FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of any water of sewer line connecting the existfng munidpal system and any house or buildir�for which the
application is made,the owner or cor�tractor sha[t be required to abtai�a permit for such connection,and shafl pay a permit fee as provided in�
Chapter 11 of this Code. After wch connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be nofified. tt shail be unlawful to covec
arry connecting tine umii an inspection has been made and such connection and the work inadent thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitabte connection.
402.05 REPA{RS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONWECTiON
After the initial connection haz been rnade to the water service wrb stop box or the sewer lead at the property tine or e water service lead has
been extended to fihe property line for connection,the applicant,owner,or accupant or user of such premises siiati be liable for a11 repairs
required to any water line and sewer lines necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. ff the properdj owner
requests maintenance seroice or repairs be perFormed by the C'tty,the property owner shali be tharged for the costis of the mairKenarnae and/or
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annuaily by an administrative poliry. it shafl be the responsbility of the applicartt,
ow�er,occuparrt or user to perform standard mairrtenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main induding debris dearing or
root tutting and to mairrtain the water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as will ensure that it remains afiove the fin3shed
