402.5 PERMlIT FEE
Prior to constructir�or repair of any water of sewer line connecting the euistir�g muniapal system and arry hause or buiiding for whictr 1�e
appiication is made,the owner or comractor shall be required to obtain a permit for such connection,a�d shali pay a permit fee as provided irr
Chapter 11 aF this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Department shail be notified. It shall be unlawful to cover
any connecting line u�il an inspection has been made and such connection and the worEc inciderrt thereto has been appro�red by the City as a
proper and suitabte connection.
402.06 REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO COWNECTIaN
After the initial connectiort has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property line or a water service Iead 6as
been extended to the property line for connedion,the applicarrt,owner,or occuparrt or user of wcfi premises shati be liabie for al�repairs
required fio any wa#er line and sewer lines necessary for connedion of the premises from the main to the premises. tf the property orrner
requests maintenance service or repairs be perFormed by the City,the property owner shail be charged for#he costs of the mairttenance and/or
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annually by an administrative policy. It shall be the responsibitrty of the applicarrt,
ow�er,occupar�t or user to perform standard mairrtenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main including debris dearing or
root cutting and to mairrtain the water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as will ensure that it remains almve the fin(shed
