402.5 PERMIT FEE
Prior to constructing vr repair of any water of sewer Pne connecting the existing municipat system and arry house or buiiding for which ihe
application is made,the owner or cor�firactor shall be required to obtain a permii for such car+nection,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in�
Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Depactmer�t shal!be s►�ed. tt shall be unlawfut to covef
any connecting line until an irrspection has been made and such connection and the work inaderrt thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitabte connection.
402.06 REPAiRS AtdD MAIAiTENAPICE TO CONNECTION
After the initial connection has been made to the water service curb stop boK or the sewer lead at the property iine or a water service lead has
been extended to the property line for connection,the appiicarrt,owner,or accupant or user of such premises shaU be Ilabie for ail repairs
required#o any water line and sewer tiaes necessary for connecfion of the premises from the main to the premises. ff the property owner
requests mairrtenance sen►ice or repairs be perFormed by the Gty,the properky owner shaN be charged for#he costs of the mairttenance and/or
repairs,including necessary street repairs at a rate set annually by an administrative poficy. tt shaif be the responsibility ofithe applicant,
owner,occuparn or user to perform standard maintenance of the sewer service line from the premises to the main including debris dearing or
root cutting and to maintain the water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as wili ensure that it remains above the finisfied
