PER SECTION 205.07.1, 3, , OF THE FRIDLEY CITY CODE, TO ALLOW THE CONSTRICTION
OF A SECOND ACCESSORY BUI ING, A 29 FOOT BY 26 FOOT DETACHED GARA GE ON LOT 13,
BLACK 3, BROOKVIEW SECOND ADDITION, THE SAME BEING 6800 OAKLEY STREET N.E. ,
WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPU TIONS:
1. SET BACK GARAGE T LEAST 25 FEET OR OBTAIN A VARIANCE.
2. PROVIDE HARD SUR ACE DRIVEWAY; CURB CUT BY CITY.
UPON A VOICE VOTE, ALL VO ING AYE, CHAIRWOMAN SCHNABEL DECLARED THE MOTION

Mr. Robinson stated this roperty wa ocated east of Washington St. just
south of 68th Ave. The r quest was o vacate a drainage easement in order
to install a driveway and erect a garage. The house does sit very close to
the lot line (9.1 feet from the orner of the house to the existing lot line).
The existing driveway t!hi h c es in and abuts the house is presently on the
drainage easement. The pro sal was to extend that driveway and build the
garage.
Mr. Robinson stated St f would recommend the following stipulations:
1 . A drainag plan be coordinated with and approved by Engineering
staff pr or to City Council meeting.

Mr. Flora, Public Works Director, stated this special use permit is
requested in order to consruct a 24 x 26 foot garage to the rear of the
property at 6800 Caa kely Steet. He stated special use permit is required
for a second accessory building in a residential zone. He stated the
petitioner has more than o vehicle and has a single stall garage and needs
more storage space. He stated the existing attached garage would remain to
be used.
Mr. Flora stated the Pl ing Commission recommended approval with the
stipulations that a setbac for the garage be at least 25 feet or a variance
obtained and that a hard s face driveway be provided and a curb cut by the
City.
