40Z.05. PERMIT FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of any water or sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and anq house
or building for which the application is made,the owner or contractor sha►I be required to obtain a permit for such
connectian,and shalt pay a permit fee as provided in Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been
made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be notified. It shall be unlawful to cover any connecting line until an
inspection has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been app�oved by the City as a
proper and suitable connection.

Afte�the inittal connection has been made to the utirater service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property
line or a water service or sewer lead has been extended to the property line for connection,the applicant,owner,
or the occupant or user of such premises shall be liable for all repairs required fo any water line and sewer lines
necessary for connection af the premises from the main ta the premises. If the property owner requests
maintenance service or repairs be perFormed by the City,the property owner shall be charged for the costs of the
maineenance and/or repairs, including any c+ecessary street repairs,at a rate set annually by an administrative
policy. It sh�ll be the responsibility of the applicant,owne�,occupant or user to perform standard maintenance of
the sewer service line from the premises ta the main including debris clearing or root cutting and to maintain the
water service curb stop box for operability and at such height as will ensure that it remains above the finished
grade of the land or property. (Ref 638,1156,1191)

Do you know who is going out on the appointment on Monday at 7am at 6341 Monroe St? I just got ofF the phone with
that owner(Friday afternoon)Suzanne Sater regarding her high consumption. I wanted to make sure who ever goes out

checks that we have the correct ERT#33370947 because she thinks we're billing her based on someone else's readings.
�e feels that her consumption is too high since the meter was installed in 2012. I tried to get her to do the dye tabs on
her toilets and she insists they are fine and one was�xed a while back(no idea how long). I just was hoping we weren't
s�nding out someone new that couldn't handle her. Everyone was gone by the time f got off the phone with her. If we
need to test her meter(according to her)she needs to be charged if it's fine.
Basically she thinks the high bills are our doing and nothing that is leaking in her home. Can whoever goes out give me a
call (after8am)to let me know how it went? I need to work with her about getting it where she thinks it should be so I'd
like to hear what they told her.
