PERMIT FEE Prior to construciing or repair of any water or sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and any house or building for which the application is made,the owner or contractor shall be required to obtain a permit for such connection,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be notified_ It shall be unlawful to cover any connecting}ine until an inspecrion has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved by the City as a proper and suitable connection. 402.06. REPAIItS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECTION After the initial connection has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property line or a water service or sewer lead has been e�ended to the property line for connection,the applicant, owner,or the occupant or user of such premises shall be liable for all repairs required to auy water line and any sewer lines necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. Lf the property owner requests maintenance services or repairs be performed by the City,the property owner shall be charged for the costs of the maintenance and/or repairs,including any necessary street repairs,at a rate set annually by an adminisfrative policy. Steve Boe - Boe Plumbing (Cell Phone-763-370-7332) Wendy Hiatt - City of Fridley (Utilities Dept./Office Phone 763-572-3566) I wanted to send an email regarding the plan for senrice and repair of the main water shutoff valve inside my parents estate home at 6010 7th St. NE in Fridley, MN, so that all parties are informed as to the specifics of the plan and work to be performed. Ciiv of Fridlev items Per discussion with Wendy, the city of Fridley will perform a "locate"for the main water line exterior shutoff valve, today, Tuesday 9/9J14. Today will be a "locate" only. On Friday 9/12/14, a Fridley Utility employee will shut the main water supply to the house, OFF, at approximately 2:OOpm. Since the City of Fridleys' utility dept hours end at 2:30pm, the shut off will be performed at 2:OOpm and the "shutoff key" will be feft in the shutoff pipe/valve for the plumber, Steve Boe/Boe Plumbing, who will arrive at the house at approximately 3:30pm. The City of Fridley will confirm that the water has been shut off to the residence/house. Boe Plumbinq Items At approximately 3: 30pm, Steve Boe from Boe Plumbing, will arrive and: 1) verify that the water has been shutoff to the house/residence. 2) perform the necessary work to replace the MA1N shutoff valve (which currently has a very small leak coming from it), inside the house in the basement where the water supply pipe comes up out of the basement floor. My son Joseph will be available to show you the valve/leak). 3) Upon repair/replacement of the shutoff valve inside the house, Steve Boe will turn the main water supply to the house, back on, using the outside "shutoff key" that the city of Fridley employee has left in the shutoff valve. Steve Boe/Boe Plumging to then verify that there is no leak inside the house. 4) Upon completion, Steve Boe to call Wendy at 763-572-3566 and leave a message for the city of Fridleys' shutoff key to be picked up at the house on Monday 9/15/14. I wanted to send this out so that everyone is aware of the plan for the work/repairs needed. If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
