I have an appointment scheduled for WednesdayAugust 29`h at Sam for Charles Ostic at 4700 2"d St NE. He said he tried
to read the water meter and because water has flooded the meter he can't see the numbers at all. His phone number is
763-571-4950. He said the valve before the meter leaks sometimes,so I'm not sure if they may have a problem with
that. Just to forwarn them. �explained he may need a plumber then but the guys will assess the situation and let him
know. Does that sound ok or maybe they can call him and talk about what he's seeing?

CHAPTER 402.WATER,STORM WATER,AND SANfTARY SEWER

402.05.PERMIT FEE
Prior to constructing or repair of any water or sewer line connecting the existing municipal system and any house
or building for which the application is made,the awner or contractor shall be required to obtain a permit for such
connedion,and shall pay a permit fee as provided in Chapter 11 of this Code. After such connection has been
made,the Water and Sewer Department shall be notified. It shaN be unlawful to cover any connecting line until an
inspection has been made and such connection and the work incident thereto has been approved by the City as a
proper and suitable connection.
402.Q6. REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE TO CONNECTION
After the initia{connection has been made to the water service curb stop box or the sewer lead at the property
line or a water service or sewer lead has been extended to the property line for connection,the applicant,owner,
or the occupant or user of such premises shall be liabte for ati repairs required to any water 4ine and sewer lines
necessary for connection of the premises from the main to the premises. If the property owner requests
maintenance service or repairs be performed by the City,the property owner shall be charged for the costs of the
maintenance andJor repairs, inciuding any necessary street repairs,at a rate set annually by an administrative
policy. It shall be the�esponsibility of the applicant,owner,occupant or user to perform standard maintenance of
- the sewer service line from the premises to the main including debris clearing or root cutting and to maintain the
water service curh stop box for operebility and at such height as will ensure that it remains above the finished
