ORDINANCE NO. 1374
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 205 DEFINING MASSAGE THERAPY,
PROHIBITING A MASSAGE THERAPY BUSINESS IN RESIDENTIALS DISTRICTS
AND PERMITTING A MASSAGE THERAPY BUSINESS IN CERTAIN
COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICTS
The Fridley City Council hereby finds after review, examination and recommendation of staff
that Chapter 205 related to massage business use be amended as follows:
SECTION 1: That Section 205.03 be hereby amended as follows:
205.03 DEFINITIONS
15. Commercial Recreation
A place where leisure time activities are offered to the general public for a fee including, but not
limited to, health clubs, racquet clubs, billiard halls and bowling alleys., but not including
massage parlors.
61. Massage Therapy Business.
As defined in City Code Chapter 125.
62. Massage Therapist.
As defined in City Code Chapter 125.
