RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 06
RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL
NOMINATING PRIMARY, REGULAR PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, Section 4.05 of the Fridley City Charter requires the City Council to appoint at least
two Election Judges and one Head Judge to each of the City’s polling locations; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk’s Office has determined that each polling location requires seven to ten
Election Judges; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk’s Office has ensured that no more than half, plus one, of all Election
Judges in a polling location be affiliated with the same major political party pursuant to Minnesota
Statute §204B.19; and
WHEREAS, all Election Judges listed in Exhibit A will receive required training according to the
Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby
appoints the following individuals listed in Exhibit A to act as Election Judges for said elections; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, compensation for said Election Judges will be paid at the rate of
$10 per hour for Election Judges, $11 per hour for Head Judge and $15 per hour for Absentee Ballot
Judge.
