HRA RESOLUTION NO. 2020-_____
A RESOLUTION AMENDING HRA RESOLUTION NO, 2018 – 14 RELATING TO THE
DISPOSITION OF THE OLD CITY HALL SITE AND PAYMENT TO THE CITY
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners (the "Commissioners") of the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Fridley (the "Authority") as follows:
Section 1. Recitals.
1.01 The Authority, at its regularly scheduled meeting on December 6, 2018 approved
HRA Resolution No. 2018-14 (the “2018 Resolution”).
1.02 In accordance with the 2018 Resolution, the City transferred its ownership in the
City Hall Site (the “Site”) to the HRA.
1.03 Subsequent to the transfer, the Authority sold the site to Fridley Investments LLC
for redevelopment which includes a senior housing project.
1.04 In addition to the expenses described in the 2018 Resolution (the “Authority
Expenses”), the Authority intends to construct Locke Parkway N.E. to provide necessary access
to the Civic Campus, which has now replaced the Site.
Section 2. Approvals.
2.01 The Authority staff is hereby directed to complete the construction of Locke
Parkway N.E. provided that the cost does not exceed the net revenues available from the sale
of the Site.
2.02 Upon the sale of the Site and the construction of Locke Parkway N.E., the
Authority shall remit to the City the proceeds of the sale less the Authority Expenses and less
the cost of constructing Locke Parkway N.E.
