To Whom It May Concern:
As the Mayor of the City of Fridley, it is my privilege to recommend the work of Roers
Companies. In 2022, Roers provided the City of Fridley with a successful 262-unit Workforce
project. The Axle Apartments opened ahead of schedule, was 95% pre-leased upon opening,
and has stayed fully occupied since opening. The management and maintenance of the property
has been outstanding, and Roers delivered on their promise of providing quality housing to our
community.
The City of Fridley assisted with financing this project, providing Redevelopment TIF for the
removal of a rundown retail strip center previously occupying the site. Throughout the
development process, Roers was receptive to the wants and needs of the City in delivering on
their promise to provide Workforce housing to the community. Although a Workforce project,
the apartment is equipped with great finishes and amenities, making it a desirable place to live.
Fridley will continue to partner with Roers Companies on future projects that add to the growth
and vision of our community.
