Creating Title No. 3 (Health, Safety, and Welfare) of the Fridley City Code and the Chapters
Contained Therein, Amending the Fridley City Code Chapter 209, Fees, and Amending the
Fridley City Code Chapter 203, Administrative Citations
The City of Fridley does ordain, after review, examination, and staff recommendation that the
Fridley City Code (Code) be amended by adopting Ordinance No. 1406. A summary of the
amendments to the Code made by Ordinance No. 1406 are as follows:
The Ordinance amends Chapter 101, Animal Control, renumbers it to Chapter 300 and adds §
300.01, Purpose, amends § 300.02, Definitions, amends § 300.03, Wild Animals, amends § 300.04,
Livestock Control, amends § 300.05, Poultry, amends § 300.06, Beekeeping, amends § 300.07,
Animal Nuisance, amends § 300.08 Dog Licensing, amends § 300.11, Impounding, removes §

The Ordinance amends Chapter 103, Dangerous Weapons, renumbers it to Chapter 302, adds §
302.01, Purpose, amends § 302.02, Definitions, amends § 302.03, Prohibited Acts, amends § 302.06,
Authorized Discharge, removes § 103.06, Fees, and removes § 103.07, Violations. The Ordinance
amends Chapter 106, Civil Defense, renumbers is to Chapter 303, renames it to Emergency

Collection, renumbers it to Chapter 319, renames it Solid Waste Management, adds § 319.01,

repeals Chapter 109, Air Quality. The Ordinance repeals Chapter 102, Public Safety Department.
The Ordinance repeals Chapter 116, Public Sanitation Facilities. The Ordinance repeals Chapter 17,
Drugs and Paraphernalia. The Ordinance repeals Chapter 118, Barbiturate Drugs. The Ordinance
