Awarding 2024 Well Rehabilitation Project No. 24-448
Whereas, the City of Fridley (City) has 11 wells in regular service that source groundwater from
aquifers 199 to 870 feet deep; and
Whereas, the pumped water is treated and delivered to the existing public water distribution
system; and
Whereas, the City’s existing water system is part of the City’s essential infrastructure systems
that provide service to all in the community; and
Whereas, the Public Works Department has set a goal for maintenance and rehabilitation of this
system; and
Whereas, the 2024 Well Rehabilitation Project No. 24-448 (Project) is included as part of the
City’s Capital Investment Program for the replacement or rehabilitation of the existing well
equipment and was recently let for competitive bids in accordance with the City’s Capital
Investment Program.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby receives the
bids for the 2024 Well Rehabilitation Project No. 24-448 per the bid tabulation attached as
Exhibit A, and awards the project to the lowest responsive bidder, Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. of
Maple Plain, Minnesota, in the amount of $243,130.
