Resolution No. 2024-53, Approving an Easement Vacation Request, SAV #24-01, for Natasha Lawrence, Property Owner of 6677 Lucia Lane NE Resolution No. 2024-53 Approving an Easement Vacation Request, SAV #24-01 for Natasha Lawrence, Property Owner of 6677 Lucia Lane N.E. (Ward 2) Whereas, on March 15, 2024, Natasha Lawrence, submitted a request to vacate a portion of a drainage and utility easement that lies between Lot 2 and Lot 3, Block 1, Valley Addition, which is addressed as 6677 Lucia Lane N.E.; and Whereas, notice of a public hearing concerning the requested vacation was provided in accordance with the Zoning Chapter of the Fridley City Code and a public hearing was held on said request at the Fridley City Council (Council) meeting on April 22; and Whereas, at the April 22 meeting, the Council proceeded to hear all persons interested in said vacation request and all persons interested were afforded an opportunity to present their views and objections to granting of said petition, and the Council considered the request for said vacation; and Whereas, the Council in its discretion has determined that retaining this drainage and utility easement is not essential and will not benefit the public; and Whereas, the Drainage and Utility Easement Vacation Description Sketch is attached hereto as Exhibit A. Now, therefore be it resolved that the City of Fridley (City), pursuant to the Vacation of Streets section of the City Charter, Zoning Chapter of the City Code and Minnesota Statues § 412.851, hereby vacates the drainage and utility easement situated in the City of Fridley, County of Anoka, State of Minnesota, to wit: Those parts of the drainage and utility easements, as created and dedicated over, under and across Lot 2 and Lot 3, Block 1, in the plat of Valley Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: The North 5.00 feet of said Lot 2 and the south 5 feet of said Lot 3, lying East of the West 10 feet of said Lots 2 and 3, and lying West of the East 10.00 feet of said Lot 2 and its northerly extension thereof. nd Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley this 22 day of April 2024. _______________________________________ Scott J.
