Award of Apex Lift Station Improvements Project No. 24-519
Whereas, the City of Fridley’s existing sanitary sewer system collects and conveys wastewater to
Met Council Environmental Services (MCES) infrastructure for treatment; and
Whereas, the City of Fridley’s existing sanitary sewer system is part of the City’s essential
infrastructure systems that provide service to all in the community, and the Public Works
Department has set a goal for maintenance and rehabilitation of this system; and
Whereas, the Apex Lift Station Improvements Project (Project) is included as part of the City’s
Capital Investment Program for the rehabilitation of the existing sanitary sewer system’s aging lift
stations and was recently let for competitive bids in accordance with the City’s Capital Investment
Program; and
Whereas, the Project is eligible for a reimbursement under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
Grants.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby receives the
bids for the Apex Lift Station Improvements Project No. 24-519 per the attached bid tabulation
and awards the project to the lowest responsive bidder, Pember Companies, Inc. of Menomonie,
WI in the amount of $1,472,987.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley this 25th day of November,
2024.
