HomeMy WebLinkAboutDemolition Review Comments Fridley Fridley Civic Campus Subject: Demolition Permit Review Comments I D22-000001 March 10, 2022 Engineering Department: • If more than 7 days between the end of demolition activities and start of construction, temporary site stabilization (mulching) must be in place. 2. Access drive to site must be swept every day of demolition operations,and whenever debris is left in the drive area. 3. Sewer and Water disconnect permit may be required. Contractor to meet with City of Fridley Utility Department prior to disconnect of utilities if needed. 4. Site erosion control must be in place prior to start of work and refreshed at the end of the demolition work. 5. If existing driveway and apron are to be removed,a Driveway permit will be required, but a fee will not be charged. General Conditions: Parking must be contained on the site. • No trailers overnight on the street. • Storage of dumpsters,trailers,etc. need to be on the property,they are not allowed to be parked/stored on the street. •All unloading, including equipment and fill material,should be done at the property. Equipment should not be driven down the road or sidewalks because it can cause damage. You are responsible for any damage that happens to the public right of way caused by your construction work (except for the University Avenue Service Road currently closed). • If you have a portable toilet at the construction site it must be on the property (cannot be on the right of way) and should be cleaned regularly. • Blowing trash and dust/debris can be a problem at construction sites. All trash and construction debris needs to be placed in a dumpster and monitored to make sure trash is not blowing around the neighborhood • Grass must be mowed,and noxious weeds controlled during demolition and construction in compliance with the City's vegetation ordinance. It will be the responsibility of the general contractor to 1. Maintain the entrance and silt fence in working condition. 2. Provide Dust Control 3. Ensure that all sub-contractors and suppliers use the rock construction entrance only. 4. Keep the silt fence and the rock construction entrance in operation until final grading and sodding have been completed and the driveway paved. Fire Department: • No comments received.
