Awarding 85 Avenue Trail Rehabilitation Project No. 25443
Whereas, the City of Fridley (City) is committed to providing residents with safe opportunities for
walking, biking, and other non-automobile transportation; and
Whereas, the current edition of the City’s Active Transportation Plan, adopted February 11, 2020,
guides the City’s installation and maintenance of infrastructure needed to achieve mobility equity
and support opportunities for active transportation; and

Whereas, the 85 Avenue Trail Rehabilitation Project No. 25443 (Project) is identified in the City’s
Capital Investment Program and includes necessary repairs to the existing five timber pedestrian

bridges of the section of trail along 85 Avenue between the City limits and University Avenue
West Service Road; and
Whereas, on April 30, 2026 electronic bids were received and read aloud, a bid tabulation was
prepared and a lowest responsive bidder identified.
Now, therefore be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Fridley hereby receives bids

for and awards the 85 Avenue Trail Rehabilitation Project No. 25443 to the lowest responsive
bidder, Pember Companies, Inc. of Menomonie, WI, in the amount of $1,264,358.78 which includes
a 5% contingency.

Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Fridley this 11 day of May, 2026.
