The homeowner wishes to permanently stabilize the rear CMU walls of the garage. It is our understanding (4) GeoLok wall anchor systems have been proposed to provide additional wall support. A recent field sketch (attached) indicates the approximate locations of repair. Image 1: Front Elevation GEOLOGIC SETTING The existing structure is located in Fridley, Minnesota. Based on the information provided by the USDA Web Soil Survey, the general site condition in the area is comprised of sand and the site is moderately sloping. We believe suitable wall reinforcement can be achieved by installing Geol-ok wall anchors. SUMMARY Based on the geologic setting and design load tables (attached), we recommend the wall anchors be spaced at a maximum of 5'. This is based on a conservative EFP of 75 psf/ft (alternate EFP may be considered depending on site conditions). Please reference design drawings for layout and connection details.
