AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 107. FIRE DEPARTMENT, OF THE
FRIDLEY CITY CODE PERTAINING TO DEPARTMENT OFFICERS
The City Council of the City of Fridley does hereby find and ordain, after review, examination
and staff recommendation that Chapter 107 of the Fridley City Code be hereby amended as
follows:
CHAPTER 107. FIRE DEPARTMENT
107.04. DEPARTMENT OFFICERS
There shall be � T'°���*�� �'�r° r'��°� an Assistant Fire Chief who shall assume the responsibilities
and authority of the Fire Chief during the Fire Chiefs absence. �''�° T'°�„*�, r'�;°� ;° �'°� *'�°
There shall also be a Fire Marshal, who shall serve as the City's designated �'�r° "'��r°'��" Code
Official as defined by the Minnesota State Fire Code. The Fire Marshal shall be �e-��
responsible for enforcing the City's fire prevention and life safety codes and ordinances,

additional officers as deemed necessary for the effective and efficient administration of the
department's services.
