AN ORDINANCE UPDATING AND AMENDING FRIDLEY CITY CODE
CHAPTER 510 TREE PRESERVATION
The Fridley City Cauncil hereby finds after review, examinatian and recammendatian af staff
that Chapter 510 related ta Tree Preservatian be hereby amended and ardains as fallaws:

510.01. DESTRUCTION OF LIVING TREES
Na persan ar earparatian, pul�lie ar private, ineluding l�ut nat limited ta the City af Fridley, its
affcers, emplayees ar agents, sha11 arder ar cause the injury ar destructian af any living tree an
City-awned land except under any af the fallawing canditians:
1. Far cantral af verified cases af Oak Wi1t, e� Dutch E1m, ar ather tree disease ar pest
infestatian as pravided in Chapter 104 af the Fridley City Cade;
2. Far purpases af waadland management ar City a�raved praaects, the remaval af "n *rt�*'��-°°
{�-} trees may be permitted, but anly after a management p1an, refarestatian
pian ar repiacement af trees justifying such remavals has been appraved by the Fridley Parks
and Recreatian C��'���mm�**°° Cammissian, the Fridley Planning Cammissian and the Fridley
City Cauncil bv Citv Cauncii resalutian. Na tree remaval sha11 be allawed under the pravisians
af this Paragraph whieh is nat defined in the p1an; ar,
3. Far purpases af necessary public utility canstructian, but anly after the preparatian af a
detailed plan and appraval by the autharities named in 510.01.2. Na such plan sha11 be appraved
that daes nat pravide far refarestatian and the restaratian af the land ta its ariginal canditian.
