AN ORDINANCE Ah*.E'NDING CHAPTER 32 OF THF. CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY
BY RE�UIRING A?FROVED FIfiE EXTINGUZSHERS AND 2?iE RECY.ARGING OF SAME BY
CON.PETENT PERSONS.
The City Council of the City of Fridley do ordain as follcxa:
That �hapter 32 of the Citv Code of the City of Fridley be
amended as followe:
SECTION 32•02: No fire extinguisher, required by the Fire Pre-
��ention Bureau� shall be deemed acceptable unless such exting-
uisher has been aperoved by and carries the rating label of the
National Board of Fire Underwriters Laboratories,
SECTION 32.�3: All chemically activated hand fire extinguishers
required by the r�ire Prevention �ureau sY.all be recharged by the
owner at least once a year, or o£tener if so directed bp the
Chief of the rire Department.
SECTION 32.04: The recharging of chemically activated hand Pire
extinguishers shall be accomplished by persons who are skilled
and competent in such work, including certified firms or indi-
viduals who are actively engaged in the business of fire exting-
uishers servicing in the area� and by such other persons who have
been approved by the Chief of the Fire yievention �ureau� such
as, persons who by training and qua.li_fications� are able to per-
farm such service.
