AR! ORDINANCE DFCLARING AN �?EF.�,ENCY [IIdDER. CITY CNARTER SECTION
3.06 AND SECTION 6.06 4iVD ALLOWING THE CITY TO CONTRACT FOR BP.ICN

WHEREAS, construction is in progrees on the City Fire Depart-
ment South of the existing City Eall; and
WHgtEpg� the existing City Hall needs to be brick �ced in order
to match the exterior construction of the Fire Department addition;

WHEREAS, after investigation, the City Manager and the City N�e-
ineer reco�end the immediate construction of such brick facing a_nd
that it is prudent and economical to have such work done in connection
with the existing construction of the rire Station, and
WHEREpS, the normal bidding procedure aa provided in the City
Charter and Crdinance would be too lengthy to remedp the emergency
that exists.
NGW, Tf?EREFORE, 1??E CITY OF FRIDLEY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. An �mergency exists as contemplated by Sections 3.(Xi
and 6.06 0£ the �harter of the City of Fridley.
SECTIOI3 2. That the bidding requiremenis o£ Secti-on 6.06 of the
' City �harter are hereby waived because of the emergency; that the City
� say proceed at once to contrzct for the brick facina, of the front of
, the existino Ciiy Hall at a price consistent with the construction
costs involved with the F'ire Station Building under construction
and� for a sum not to exceed $5�000.00.
