AN ORDINANCE CNEATING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE LIMITS WITHIN THE CITY
OF FRIDLEY, AS�D A:�iENDING CHAP'PLR Lt6 GF TfiE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF
FRIDI.EY AS TO FIHE LIMITS AND FiRr"� DISTRICTS
The City Council of the City o£ Fridley do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. A section to be known as l�6,3 is hereby added to
the City Code of Fridley providing as follows:
Section li6,3. There are hereby created and established
in the City o£ Fridley certair. areas de-
5ignated as the FIRE LIMITS.
(a) All areas designated on the City of Fridley
zoning map as being classified in Zone C2 and C2S shall
be deemed as within the fire limits.
(b) All occupancies classed as C2 or C2S under
Chapter �5 of the City Code sha11 be deemed as within
the £ire limits when constructed in either Zones Ml or
M2.
SECTION 2. That Chapter Lt6 of the City Code shall have added
to it the following sub-sections:
1�6.029. The provisions o£ Chapter 16 of the UniForm
Building Code shall be revised to read as follows:
_ For the purpose o£ this Code� the entire City is
hereby declared to be a fire district, and within the
district certain areas shall 'oe desi.gnated as the FIRE
LIMITS, b7henever reference is made in this Code to any
FIRE LINiITS it shall mean the fire limits created and
established by this Chapter.
1�b.030. The provisions of Section 1b.03 of Chapter 16
of the Uni£orm Buildir.g Code as to Items A through C
oF said Secticn shall be deleted and not be a part of
this Chapter.

l�6.031. Section 16,01t of the Uniform Building Code,
Chapter 16 shall be revised and amended to read as £ol-
lows:
Any building or structure complying with the require-
ments of this Code may be erected, constructed, moved with-
in or into the £ire district.
