AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTERS78.05 AND 18.06.OF THE CITY CODE
OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY AND TO ADOPT SECTION 18.065 REGIILATING
MASTER ELECTRICIAIVS AND PLUMBERS.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRTDLEY DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
That Section 18.05 and Section 18.D6 of the City Code of the City of
Eridley be amended as follows:
18.05. Licenses shall be obtained by every person engaging in the
following businesses or work in accordance with the applicable ordinances
of the City of Fridley:
(a) General contractors in the business of building construction.
(b) Masonry and brick work.
(cL Repealed.
(d� Aepealed.
(e) Roofing.
(f) Plastering, stucco work, sheet rock taping,
(g) Heating, venCilation and refrigeration.
(h) Gas Piping, gas services, gas equipment installation,
(i) Oil heating and piping work,
(j) Water supply system installation and construction.
(k) Excavations, including excavation for footings, 6asements, sewer
and water line installation.
(1) Moving aad wrecking of building,
(m) Sign erection, construction, and repair, including billboards
and electrical signs.
(n) Sewer and water connections between street connection and
property 1ine.
Nothing here shall be construed as preventing any such qualified
licensee from performing the work by an employee under his supervision and
control, or by contracC with another person qualified to perfoxm the same,
provided the contractor is subject to the control of the licensee and the
licensee is at all times responsible for the work performed.
18.06. The owner of any property may perfoxm work on property which
he occupies so long as the work when performed is in accordance with the
codes of the CiCy and for such purpose a permit ��y be granted to such
owner without a license obtained.
