ORDINANCE N0. 352
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE DISPOSAL OF LOST PROPERTY TURNED INTO
THE FRIDLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT.AND STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED BY THE
FRIDLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDi.EY DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
That there is hereby enacted a new Section to Chapter 25 of the
Fridley City Code entitled 25.02 as follows;
Section 25.02
The Chief of Police shall hold a public sale of a11 lost articles
turned into the Fridley Police Department and stolen articles recovered by
the Fridley Police Department which are not claimed or returned to their
rightful owner, Said sale sh�ll be on the first day of May of each year,
and a11 such property that has remained unclaimed for a period of six months
immediately preceding the sale shall be sold at said public auction. The
proceeds from said sale shall be deposited with the treasurer of the Fridley
police Pension Fund and become a part of said fund, Notice of sai_d public
auction sha11 be given in a legal newspaper at least ten days prior to said
sale.
