AN ORDINANCE '1T) AMEND CHAPTER 46 OF THE CITY
CODE OF Tk� CITY OF FRIDIEY
The City Council of the City of Fridley hereby amends Chapter 46 of
t.he City Code of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, Yo read
as follows:
46.01. That subject to such exceptions, modifications and changes
as npted herein, the 1967 SDition of the Oniform Avilding Code (Vol�sme I)
published by the International Qonference of Bvilding Officials is hereby
adopted by reference and eatahliahed as the Building Code of the City of
Fridley. Any code, or regulation hc±retofore in effect in [he City of
Fridley and any proviaion tt�reoE which is contrary to or Lnconsistent
with the provisions of said Uniform Suilding Code and the exceptions,
modiEications and changea as nnted herein, is of no further force and
effect immediately upon this ordinance bec�ming effective, and the same
are repealed.

46.025. Svery frame building hereafter constructed shall hane a
double c�vering on all outside walls, consisting of an approved sheathing
and an epproved siding and no single wall type construction ie allowed
excegt and unless it be made with respect to a strucr,�re and of a type
an�l materiai that has first been anproved by the building inspector.
The wall betcreen attached garage and frame buildings ahall have sheeting
exrending f.rom top plate to bottom plate and this vall ahall have a cover
of £Sve-eightha (5/8) i.nch rypa X gypsum from top of masonr.y t� roof
aheeting or other materials having one (1) hours fire protection rating.
46.3 Thera are hereby created and establiahed in the City of Fridleq
certain areas designated as the FIRE LIMITS.
(a) Ali areas designated on the City of Fridley 7,oning Map
as being classified in Zone C-2, C-2-S, CR-2 and P,D, shall be deemed
as within the fire limits.
(b) All occuganciea claased as C-2, C-2-S, CZt-2 and P.D.
�tnder Chapter 45 of the City Code shal] be deemed as within the fire
limits when constructed i.n efther Zones M-1 or M-2.
