AN OEDIPANG& ON THE SAIE OF CARISTMAS TREES
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY DO ORDAIN AS FOLIAWS:
Sectiott 1. Licoass Reovir�d. Pio peraon� fira or corporation ahall�
uithin the City of Fridleq� trado� barter� or sell anp cut evergreen� fir�
sprucs� or other tree of like kind for what is generally known and described
as a Christmas tree� vithout first having obtained a licenae so to do.
Section 2. Avplicatiott. Every applicant for such licenae ahall file
an application with the Citq Clerk, stating his name, address, and the addreae
of the place o£ intended sale of such treea and the neme oP the owner of said
property, together with the name oP the person from vhom and the place fcom
which he intenda to cut or secure the trees intended to be sold.
Section 3. Fae= The annual fee for the licenae herein raquired ie
hereby fixed at the sum oP Ten (�10.00) Dollurs, which s� shrill be paid to
the Citq Clerk at the time of filing the application for such license. No
such licenae shall be prorated for a period of less than one year.
Section 4. ResLrictiona on Sale. No Christanas tree lot ahall be
located in ar{y district zoned for reaidential oecupancies nor shall be loeated
leas than twenty (20) feet from any adjoining building or structure.
Each lot atiall ba laid out in such a manner ea to provida aisles
between the rows of trees not less than ten (10) feet vide.
Treea not treated with fire retardant materials shall not be stored
inside o£ or offered for sale inside of arty heated building. No treea shall
be stored inside or o£fered for sale in any building� vhich ia used in whole
or in part for residential purpoaea.
Section 5. Denosit for Cleanina If Neededs In addition to the liasnr�
Pee at the time of filing the application� each applicant shell deposit tha
sum of One Hundred and no huudredths ($100.00) Dollsrs with tha City Clerk to
insure that the place of eale vill be cleaned and cleared of Chriatmas treea�
wreaths and trimminga by January 5th o£ the year Polloving the year in whieh
the licanse is issued. It at�ell be the dutp of the City Fire Inspaetor to
determins whether or not the place of sale is properly cleaned and cleared.
If the plxce of sale is properly cleaned and cleared by the above date�
the money deposited ahall be returned to the applicaat. If the place of sale
is not properly cleaned and cleared� the deposit shall be forEiitsd:�o.ih.
City es a penalty and to defray the expensas of the City in cleaning and
clearing said araa.
