AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING ACTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
ON FF:BRUARY 6, 1967 REALIGNING THr; BOUNDIIRIES OF
PRECINCTS WITHIN WARD NUMBER TtNO PURSUANT TO CHAPTER
2, SECTION 2.03 OF THE CITY CHIIRTER Or FRIDLEY
' WHEREAS, it is the wish of the City Council to equalize
inso£ar as possible the population of the wards and precincts of
the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVHD k.y the Council of the
City of Fridley as follows:

l. Sections 1.0� and 1.03 of the City Code of the
City oi Fridley be amended as follows:
WARD BoUNDARIES 1.02 pursuant to the City of Fridley
Charter, Chapter 2.03 which requires the Council to redetermine
ward boundaries atter each decennial census o£ the United States,
and at other tiines as the Council may determine, the ward and pre-
cinct boundaries of the City are redetermined and hereafter are
established as follows:
(a) Ward No. 1, Precinct No. 1 is established as the
area bounded as follows:
On the North and East by the City Limits, on the
West by T.H. #47, and on the South by Rice Creek.
(b) Ward No. l, Precinct No. 2 is established as the
area bounded as follows:
On the North by Rice Creek, on the East by T.A. #65,
on the South by Mississippi Street, and on the
West by T.H. #47.
(c) Ward No. l, Precinc� No. 3 is established as the
area bounded as follows:
On the North and West by the City Limits, on the
East by T.H. #47, and on the South by Rice Creek.
(d) Ward No. 2, Precinct No. 1 is established as the
area bounded as follows:
On the North by Mississippi Street, on the East
__ by T.H. #65, on the South by the City Limits, and
on the West by 7th Street N.E.
(e) Ward No. 2, Precinct No. 2 is established as the
area bounded as follows:
On the North by;Rice Creek, on the East by the
City Limits, on the South bv Gardena Avenue and
Gar.dera avenue extended, and on the West by T.H. #65.
(f) Ward No. 2 Precinct No. 3 is est�lished as the
area bounded as follrnas:
On the North by Gardena Avenue and Gardena Avenue
extended, on the East and South bv the City Limits,
and on the N7est bv T.H. �$65.

(g) Ward No. 3, Precinct No. 1 is established as the
area bounded as foll aas:
On the West by the City Limits, on the North by
Rice Creek and by Mississippi Street between 7th
and T.H. #47, on the South by 53rd Avenue N.E.
extended between the N.P. Right of Way and the
West City Limits and by 61st Avenue N.E. between
7th Street and the N.P. Right o� Way and on the
East by T.H. �47 between Rice Creek and Mississippi
Street, 7th Street between Mississippi Street and
61st Avenue N.E., and the N.P. Right o£ Gday
between 61st Avenue N.E. and 53rd Avenue N.E.
extended.
(h) Ward No. 3, Precinct No. 2 is established as the
area bounded as follows:
On the North by 61st Avenue N.E. between 7th
Street N.E. and the N.P. Right of P7ay, on the
East by 7th Street N.E., on the South by 53rd
Avenue N.E. and 53rd Avenue N.E. extended between
7th Street N.E. and the N.P. Right of Way, and
on the Fiest by the N.P. Right of Way between
61st Avenue N.E. and 53rd Avenue N.E. extended.
(i) Ward No. 3, Precinct No. 3 is established as the
area bounded as follows:
On the North by 53rd Avenue N.E. and 53rd Avenue
extended, on the East, West and South by the
City Limits.
WARD MAP 1.03 - That said Ward and Precinct Boundaries
are further herein established and delineated as shown on the map
hereoi. Attached hereto is Exhibit "A" and rnade a part hereof
by reierence; and whenever and wherever a conflict shall appear
between the boundaries as noted and provided on caid map and the
lines noted and described in Section 1.02, then the boundaries
as noted in said map shall prevail.
